The ATD Greater Boston Chapter Special Interest Group on Learning Measurement Presents:

Measurement Demystified: A Simple Framework for Measurement and Reporting

with David Vance, Ph.D.

June 2, 2023

2:00 PM to 3:15 PM

VIRTUAL EVENT - Link in registration email

With over 200 measures it is no wonder people are still confused about what to measure and what to do with the measures once they have them. Join this webinar to learn about a simple but comprehensive framework to classify, define, select and report the measures that are right for your organization. In use for over 10 years now and incorporated into the new ISO standard for L&D metrics, the Talent Development Reporting Principles (TDRP) framework provides a holistic approach to measurement and reporting, starting with the reasons to measure and ending with selection of the appropriate report to share the data.

About the Speaker

David Vance is a major thought leader on measuring and reporting talent development initiatives. He was the founder of the Center for Talent Reporting (TDRp), a nonprofit, membership-based organization dedicated to the creation and implementation of standards for human capital measurement, reporting and management. He is the former President of Caterpillar University, which he founded in 2001. Prior to this position, Dave was Chief Economist and Head of the Business Intelligence Group at Caterpillar Inc. with responsibility for economic outlooks, sales forecasts, market research, competitive analysis and business information systems.

Dave was named 2006 Chief Learning Officer (CLO) of the Year by Chief Learning Officer magazine. Caterpillar was ranked number one in the 2005 ASTD Best Awards and was named Best Overall Corporate University in 2004 by both Corporate University Xchange and the International Quality and Productivity Center.

Measurement Special Interest Group (SIG) Mission

The mission of the group is to enhance members’ professional development in measurement and evaluation; to increase the effectiveness of their L&D organizations through measurement and evaluation; and to engage with the global community of L&D practitioners in applying measurement and evaluation to deliver performance and results through learning.

The group welcomes members with little or no background in measurement and evaluation, through more experienced practitioners.
