About the Speakers

Jeff Davenport

Despite being a professional speaker and facilitator for over 20 years, Jeff doesn’t consider himself a “naturally gifted” presenter. Rather, he is a self-described “shy wallflower” who transformed into an effective communicator through good coaching and deliberate practice. Because of this experience has firmly believes anyone can improve their delivery when given the right guidance and support.

For the last six years, Jeff has enjoyed coaching dozens of Fortune 500 executives to tell their stories clearly. He is the co-author of Duarte’s Captivate™ Public Speaking Workshop, which he frequently facilitates, and as a coach, Jeff is an expert at helping his clients relax and find their voice. He emphasizes trust, authenticity, and having fun with the experience. Jeff knows that if he can get you to enjoy the ride, your audience will enjoy it, too.

In addition to speaking, Jeff has a passion for writing and storytelling. He’s written a series of television movies that were produced by NBC, has created presentations for some of the best-known brands in the world, and has won a Cicero speechwriting award. Jeff holds a master’s degree in Screenwriting from the University of Southern California.

Kevin Friesen

Kevin is a valued and sought-after ambassador of Duarte and their vision to transform people and organizations through unparalleled communication. For over 20 years, Kevin worked in the social sector developing people and programs to serve their communities. In 2007, he founded NextStep Bridges, a non-profit business that facilitated collaborations and partnerships with various players in the social sector.

Since joining Duarte in 2011, Kevin has influenced thinking and promoted revolutionary change, leading over 600 workshops with over 150 brands and thousands of individuals across the world. He helps awaken natural talents, build confidence, and drive influence in speakers and communicators of all experience levels.

Kevin has a BA in Music and a Masters in Conducting from Golden Gate Seminary. He also completed the Executive Program in Social Entrepreneurialism from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
