The March 20th Member Showcase event has been cancelled. In the next few days we will be contacting by e-mail anyone that paid for their registration with refund details.

6 Members will give 10-minute presentations, concurrently, so that everyone has a chance to interact and ask questions.

Kathleen Bellicchi    “Take 10”  An Introduction to Kolb Experiential Learning Model

An interactive demonstration of applying the Kolb Learning Model to maximize the implementation of skills training, new learning or to reinforce standards.

Kathleen Bellicchi, Management Trainer & Performance Coach -  is a master trainer, facilitator, coach, and a chef -- cooking ideas and food (for thought and to eat).  Kathleen’s mission is to help the groups and individuals she works with increase their productivity and effectiveness.  She has had extensive experience working in the U.S. and in countries around the world.

Eric Bloom    “Improve Learning using pre and post  strategies”   

Convert your training classes from a single event to an ongoing process. A general methodology and cool low-cost technologies will be presented

Eric P. Bloom is the president of Manager Mechanics LLC, a company specializing in Information Technology (IT) leadership development and the governing organization for the Information Technology Management and Leadership Professional (ITMLP©) and Information Technology Management and Leadership Executive (ITMLE©) certifications. Eric is also a Board Member of the Greater Boston Chapter of ASTD.

Bob Britton    “Picking brains isn’t like Picking Melons: Tips & Tricks for working with SMEs”

Presentation will include your role as trainer / ID, the SME’s role and best practices for working with SMEs.

Bob Britton is the Manager, Technical Publications & Product Training with American Science and Engineering, Inc.  www.as-e.com  .  Bob served in the U.S. Navy for 10 years as an electronics specialist in the Gulf and a recruiter.  In his current role he delivers training programs for high tech X-ray systems used at border crossings, container port facilities, and other locations where detection of contraband is required for national security.

Malcolm Johnstone “Multiple Platforms, One Learning Solution”

Using HTML5 to create a single video that runs on computers, tablets, and mobile phones.

Malcolm Johnstone is the Founder/Executive Producer of LearnObject, LLC, www.learnobject.com. LearnObject is an award-winning developer of online courses for universities and colleges. LearnObject has also designed a variety of simulations and video training for corporate learning solutions. Malcolm currently serves as the VP Technology for Greater Boston Chapter of ASTD.

Bill Shea    “Creating the Ideal Corporate /University Partnership”

Participants will learn key characteristics of a successful partnership and the right organization to partner with, using Northeastern University as a case study.

Bill Shea is the Director, Executive Programs, at Northeastern University’s College of Business Administration and has worked both in the corporate and educational sectors.  Bill is a long-standing member of ASTD and has served on its national Board of Directors.

Christine Michaels    “Game on!  Simple rules for playing and scoring big on the learning and engagement scoreboard! “

Participants will learn simple strategies for incorporating games into the learning experience, including a card game demonstration. Our monthly meetings are designed for all: the employed, the self-employed and those in transition. The goal is to enhance your technology awareness, share the most current thinking on training and help people learn while providing opportunities to network with your colleagues.

Christine Michaels is an experienced consultant specializing in the
areas of Learning & Development and Career Management.    Currently as a consultant for Career Systems International, she provides expertise as a Facilitator in the areas of
career development and employee engagement and retention.
