The ATD Greater Boston Chapter Special Interest Group on Learning Measurement Presents:

Using Job Tasks to Build a Powerful Measurement Strategy

with Ken Johnson

January 26, 2022

2:00 PM to 3:15 PM

VIRTUAL EVENT - Link in registration email

Join us for our first Special Interest Group (SIG) on Measurement and Evaluation in 2022!

Using Job Tasks to Build a Powerful Measurement Strategy explores the strategic concept of the central role of job tasks in Talent Development AND explains the practical techniques to implement that strategy.

It explains how the same job tasks listed in a Job Description, against which Business Unit Managers create and apply KPI measurements, can and should be used for:

  • Learning outcomes for Talent Development formal learning events;
  • Business Unit Manager observation and feedback;
  • Sharing Best Practices to accelerate self-learning; and
  • Reporting PROVEN TD ROI to the Leadership Team.

Leveraging existing job tasks and their KPI’s enhances the partnership between Business Unit Managers and TD professionals because everyone is working from the same origin, by defining TD actions within the familiar business unit context created by the Business Unit Managers!

About our Facilitator

The discussion facilitator, Ken Johnson, is a 33 year veteran in the Talent Development profession. Having risen through the ranks of multiple Fortune 500 companies, in 1991, Ken switched from being an IT business unit manager to a focus in HR Management and Employee Talent Development. He is a member of multiple professional HR organizations, including ATD since 1989, SHRM, & ISPI.

Ken completed his Master’s Degree in Instructional Systems Design from the University of Maryland in 1992. He is the author of the book “Now That We Have All These People, What Are We Supposed To Do With Them?” He is also co-Founder and CEO of Cultivisor, LLC., providing “Advice and Tools to Cultivate Employee Talent!”
